Waterfront Partnership's Healthy Harbor Initiative will host a fundraising Happy Hour in support of the planned Canton Water Wheel. All proceeds will go towards building the world's second Water Wheel trash collector and keeping the Harbor clean.

Event Details

Tickets will include an appetizer buffet courtesy of the BoatHouse Canton, first beer courtesy of Sweetwater Brewing Company, live music, “Mr. Trash Wheel” themed photo booth and extended Happy Hour specials. Tickets can be purchased at www.bit.ly/CantonWaterWheel.

So far, $221,160 out of $550,000 has been raised for the second Water Wheel, which will be located at the Harris Creek outfall near Boston Street Pier Park. The stream transports over 5,000 lbs. of trash into the Harbor every month. A new Water Wheel will use solar power to capture that trash and keep it out of the Harbor and Chesapeake Bay.
