Schooners will race to save the bay in the 26th annual Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.
Event Details
On Sunday, Oct. 11, schooners participating in the 26th annual Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race (GCBSR) will begin to fill Baltimore’s docks. Racing to save the Bay, the schooners will sail to promote awareness of the Bay’s maritime heritage and encourage preservation and improvement of its natural resources.
Schooners will begin arriving in Baltimore on Sunday, Oct. 11 to participate in pre-race activities, including the Parade of Sail and dockside schooner tours, prior to the start of the race on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race will begin just south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge near Annapolis and end in Portsmouth, VA.
