Maryland beer lovers, unite!  The 2012 Maryland Craft Beer Festival is returning on Saturday, May 12 and bringing a whole slew of fun and beer-centric activities to the Eventplex at the Fredrick Fairgrounds.

In addition to up to 20 breweries serving over 80 different craft beers, the fairgrounds with play host to tons of live entertainment and concerts, kids activities, exhibitors, and a variety of food beginning at noon.

There will be live entertainment all throughout the day from a handful of awesome Baltimore artists including Duffy Kane, 19th Street Band, Nayas, Shane Gamble, Vinyl Rhino, and Phil Kominsky.

Kids can also have a blast while their parents "taste" the tons of beer on hand at the Maryland Craft Beer Festival.  Bring 'em along and the little ones will be able to enjoy the fun bus, moon bounces, and face painting.

You're also bound to get a little hungry once you've sipped on enough delectable craft beer.  Luckily, tons of food vendors will be on hand serving everything from seafood entrees to succulent BBQ, savory pit beef and other festival-favorites like funnel cakes and roasted nuts.  There will also be non-alcoholic beverages on hand as well.

General admission for adults 21 and over is $17 in advance and $25at the door.  General admission tickets include ten 4-ounce beer tasting tokens and a souvenir glass.  VIP tickets are $32 in advance, $40 at the door, and include everything listed above as well as early admission to the 2012 Maryland Craft Beer Festival to sample special cask/firkin beers.  Tickets for designated drivers and those under 21 are $10.  Kids 12 and under get in free.
