7 Days Torn (7DT) stands as a formidable presence redefining the boundaries of music in today's modern world. The band derives its powerful assembly from deep within the foundations of their souls. Through the exhale of harmonic vocals, rich riffs, and ground breaking grooves, they command energy and touch the listener with genuine sentiment. Anthony Hurley's substantial sense of melodic hook and soul-seeking lyrics met with Mykal Drexler in mid-1998. Mykal rendered his celestial guitar tones and strong studio skills to the blend. Through adversity and divine design, they then discovered Ron Squires and Boyitz to finalize the quartet. Ron provides an unassailable rhythm bound tight and solid to Baltimore's best bottom end, the Boyitz. With ferocious intensity and courageous drive, 7DT demands its rank among modern rock's addiction list. Though 7DT has climbed to a well-respected local status, they are stopping at nothing to gain the footholds they need to be seen and heard on an international level. Their first independent release has gained recognition at record speed and a new studio cd is in the works. This is a goal-oriented group of musicians that never disappoint. |

Since starting out in the mobile DJ world, accompanying his father on a few gigs and eventually starting his own company, James Nasty has perfected the art of getting diverse crowds up and moving. In the studio, James Nasty commands respect as a skillful producer, multi-instrumentalist, and university-trained recording engineer. His Baltimore club tracks are a super funky mix of house music, break-beats, and hip hop that people can not help but get up and dance to. He has also done production work for local hip-hop and R&B talent including the lead album single “I B Swervin” from BET Television Network’s “106 & Park Freestyle Friday” Retired Champion, Whyte Out's debut album (available now on CdBaby.com).
A James Nasty set will most likely include a heavy dosage of Baltimore club Music mixed with various other genres including funky/disco house, hip hop, dance hall reggae, disco and UK Garage/ Two Step. It has been said that he is a natural in the DJ booth, always knowing the right song to play at the right time to get the crowd hyped and keep them moving. After a few hours the whole crowd leaves exhausted, breathing heavily, and drenched in sweat but still wanting more.

SilentJ began with two acoustic guitars on a backyard deck in Ellicott City, MD. We soon added a third acoustic guitar that quickly transformed into a bass. Months later, and another meeting on the deck turned up a drummer, from up the street. Days later, SilentJ was born in a basement jam session.
So what do you do when you and your friends from up the street play instruments? You form a rock band, and that's what we did.
John our master of cover tunes, pushed Jeff and Tim to learn what seemed a like a new song each week. Kevin picked up his sticks, and just joined in like he'd been there from day one. Just six months later, we were working on nine original songs, and gigging in the Baltimore area.
People ask how the band was formed, and we can only answer, organically. It just happened. |
