After enjoying Thanksgiving Day festivities with your family, enjoy educational and fun Thanskgiving-themed activities at Port Discovery with the whole family! Come make Thanksgiving Gobble hats and other Thanksgiving themed crafts, enjoy interactive story time, Jingle Jangle Music Time and more! What a great addition to your family traditions! Port Discovery will be open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, and 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday.
Saturday's Activities:
10:00AM – Noon & 1:00 – 3:00 PM – Thanksgiving Gobble Hats: Gobble gobble like a turkey by making your own hat.
10:00AM – Noon – Make a Turkey Plate: Tired of leftovers already? Not with this craft! Create a turkey plate complete with resplendent feathers!
10:00 AM – 4:30PM – Cereal Art with Guest Artist Michael Albert: Collage artist Michael Albert works with you to create your very own work of art!
11:00 & Noon – Thankful Circle Time: Enjoy our signature interactive story time, featuring singing, dancing, and finger plays. Ages 6 and under.
1:00 – Life on Yoga Mountain: Join Ms. Wendy and her life-sized yoga puppets as she shares her book “Life on Yoga Mountain” and leads participants through yoga poses. Ages 6 and under.
1:00 & 1:30 – Music with Mr. Norman: Mr. Norman is a one man roaming performer that fills Port Discovery with then sounds of old time favorites like Take Me Out To The Ball game/ Oh Suzanna and more!
1:00 – 3:00 PM – Exploration Station: Turkey Gobblers
2:00 – Play within a Play: Bring the Rain Back to Kapiti Plain: An interactive theatre workshop where kids create their own play using a children’s book, puppets, costumes, and props.
