Good news, Baltimore race fans.  The Baltimore Grand Prix is set to return to the streets of Downtown Baltimore for its second annual run in 2012.

The event, which will be called "Streets of Baltimore" is set to go down on Sunday, April 2 this year right along Baltimore's beautiful Inner Harbor.

Last year's Inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix made for a weekend of fun with a ton of great races, free concerts, and parties around Downtown Baltimore.  This year should be even better.

City officials still haven't announced a race organizer, though.  After last year's debacle where the city's organizing partner, Baltimore Racing Development failed to pay millions of dollars of debt by the end of the year, the city has terminated its previous organizer contract and is expected to announce a new one by the end of the week.

So far, it's been strongly rumored that Dale Dillon, owner of an Indianapolis construction company and organizer of races in St. Petersburg, FL and Toronto, will get the spot.

We'll keep you posted as more news arises about the 2nd Annual Baltimore Grand Prix in 2012.
