We invite the community to come together to celebrate Mardi Gras in Downtown Annapolis on Market Space.
Event Details
It will be an afternoon of festivities in the street with live music that will make you want to dance in the street opening with Priddy Music Academy bands- Lopsided Chickens and Silver Soul, followed by the high energy bands Wild Anacostias and the Naptown Brass Band.
Enjoy a wide range of food from six of our downtown restaurants including Middleton Tavern, McGarvey's Saloon and Oyster Bar, Iron Rooster Annapolis, Federal House Bar & Grille, Harvest Wood Grill + Tap and Annapolis Market House. The menu is truly Cajun with gumbo, grilled oysters, crawfish boil, shrimp and grits and more.
Mardi Gras is not complete without some good beverages. We will have hurricanes, oranges crushes, Bud Light and craft beers on tap. Plus sodas and bottled waters.
Be sure to get in the spirit and wear your beads and dress festive.
For those needing help getting in the festive spirit and the kids we have Swede-Art face painter, temporary tattoos and balloon artist.
While you are at the event to check out and shop from the nearby stores and boutiques. They are all reporting to have some new arrivals to make shopping fun.
Arrive early or stay late to take advantage of Annapolis Restaurant Week 2019. This week over 40 restaurants have special menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Admission is free, so invite your friends. Annapolis Parking is going to be easy with paid parking at the Noah Hillman Garage around the corner off of Main Street or park free all day at Calvert Street Garage at 19 St Johns Street or park free until 4pm at John Whitmore Garage 25 Clay Street. A free Circulator shuttle goes to and from all downtown parking garages to this event.
As a thank you to the community a donation from this event will be made to Historic Annapolis and the Downtown Annapolis Partnership.
