Event Details
Our guest speaker Roger Rohrer has managed his 210-acre farm to attract a diverse mix of game and bird species. As his buffers have matured over 20 years, resident and visiting wildlife have changed as well. He’ll share lessons learned along the way to establishing buffers for wildlife and water quality. If you are considering installing a stream-side buffer, you’ll hear practical design considerations regarding buffer width, native plants for increased wildlife diversity, and tips for managing invasive species. Experts will also be on hand to share the technical and financial resources available to install a buffer without breaking the bank. Dinner will be provided; registration is free!
