On March 22-23, Creative Alliance convenes some of the brightest old time musicians, singers, and dancers in the country to celebrate where this music exists in 2018.
The music of the American upland south traveled from Appalachia to the streets of Baltimore in the middle half of the 20th century, where old time and bluegrass musicians put their own charm city spin on roots music. Since those heady days, some 75 years ago, the sounds of the fiddle and banjo, along with ballad singing, country song, flatfoot dance, and social square dancing, have moved into pockets of America, far and wide, where virtuosic musicians have made it their own.
*Please let us know if you have any ideas for the festival (workshops, performers, offerings, etc) and if you're interested in volunteering, partnering and being involved in some capacity. We'd love the help!
