Description

A first-of-its-kind, comprehensive symposium

Event Details

High blood pressure, or hypertension (HTN), affects as many as 50% of Americans and is the #1 treatable cause of heart failure and premature death. Despite overwhelming evidence that treatment of HTN significantly improves quality of life and longevity, and the many classes of blood pressure medications available, the majority of patients remain inadequately treated. In addition, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), which can result from HTN, has reached epidemic proportions. Currently, there is no effective treatment for HFpEF.

This Symposium will bring together distinguished experts from around the country who will discuss established and emerging therapies for HTN and HFpEF. With the focus on future strategies that target the cardiovascular and renal mechanisms of HTN and HFpEF, the Symposium aims to help improve and save the lives of a large segment of our population.
