In 2021 Maryland, the first state to institute a Law Enforcement Officers Bill of Rights reversed that ill-informed precedent by becoming the first state to repeal it, opening the door to re-imagine police oversight and accountability.
HB670 mandates that all counties and Baltimore City have these entities in place by July 1, 2022, just a little over a week from today.
