USS Constellation

Description

U.S. Frigate Constellation was launched from Baltimore on September 7, 1797 and was the first American ship to engage & defeat an enemy vessel. In 1853 the frigate Constellation was broken up and parts were used to construct what is now the USS Constellation. After 100 years of use, it now sits in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore as a museum exhibit.
