Sept. 13, 2023 to January 25, 2025 (1-25-25) will mark 500-Days until the official start of "Charm City 50", the 50th Anniversary (1975-2025) of the Iconic nickname for Baltimore that was coined in 1975 by then Mayor William Donald Schaefer. The Charm City nickname has become one of the top branding & marketing entities for Baltimore sports, travel & tourism. "Charm City 50" will be the largest 1-year celebration for Baltimore since the opening of the 2 Harborplace pavilions, July of 1980.
If & when (hopefully soon) the Baltimore Orioles sign their lease with the Maryland Stadium Authority there's a chance the 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be played here in Baltimore at Oriole Park Camden Yards and with all the hoopla of the Midsummer Classic would be the celebration of "Charm City 50".
