These presentations provide hope for a brighter future and allow audience members to ask questions to deepen their understanding of mental illness.
Yi Chen has been volunteering with NAMI for one year as a trained In Our Own Voice presenter and peer support group facilitator, alongside her psychiatric service dog, Bumbi. Tevis Simon has volunteered with NAMI for two years. She is a NAMI In Our Own Voice presenter and connects community members to NAMI’s resources at outreach events throughout Baltimore.
