The 46th Annual Maryland Seafood Festival will be making its return September 7th & 8th at Sandy Point Park in Annapolis.

If this is a festival that you are unfamiliar with, where have you been?! The 2013 Maryland Seafood Festival is a state tradition that comes around every year, introducing people from all over the East Coast to savory seafood. It is a weekend filled with food, entertainment, and fun activities.

Be sure to come hungry to this event! Delicious seafood provided by local charities and professional restaurants will be in every direction at the park. Menu items include crab nachos, steamed clams, popcorn shrimp, mahi tacos, fried calamari, and so much more! If seafood isn't your catch, there will be plenty of other options such as pulled pork sandwiches, chicken tenders, and wings. The festival will also be hosting a crab soup cook-off, featuring 30+ different soups to try!

When you start to feel full from all of the savory goodness, you can kick back and relax while enjoying the sounds of the talented live performances.  Your ears will hear everything from 80's to Caribbean music to blues. There will also be multiple vendors showcasing their creativity through their arts and crafts that will be available for purchase.

The 2013 Maryland Seafood Festival also has some exciting activities for the kids! Both days there will be face painting, henna, and tattoos at the Crystal Looney's Creative Arts booth. For the wild little ones, they can unleash their chaotic energy by escaping into the bounce house, going down the slide, and challenging themselves through an obstacle course. There will also be multiple live exhibits and touch tanks for the kids to interact with fish and even learn about them.
