Chances are, if you're going to something called a Fun Festival, you're probably bound to have, at least, a halfway decent and maybe even fun time.  That's just how it is, unless there's some serious false advertising going on.

Something tells us that the Fell's Point Fun Festival, now in its 45th year, probably isn't trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.  With an estimated attendance of 700,000+ attendees there's simply no need.  Baltimore residents and visitors alike clearly love the Fell's Point Fun Fest.

The Fell's Point Fun Festival started as a way for Baltimore-ians to raise funds for historic Fell's Point when the area was slated for demolition when highway construction was underway.  45 years later, it was obviously saved and the Fell's Point Fun Fest is Baltimore's way of showing their love for all the art, food, and vibrant culture of this historic neighborhood.

Held on the weekend of October 1-2, 2011, the Fell's Point Fun Festival will bring together arts and craft vendors from across the city, fine art displays, non-profit organizations, and the Fun Fest Flea Market, where you can find a ton of unique antiques and treasures.

More than 40 food vendors will be on hand dishing out unique treats from around the world far more varied than your typical burger and hot dog festival food.

Five, count 'em, five stages will be speckled throughout the Fell's Point Fun Fest with bands and artists playing everything from country to folk, jazz, latin, gospel and much more.

The Fell's Point Fun Festival begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. on both Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd.  Best of all, it's free!  Round up the family and/or friends and head out to the Fell's Point Fun Festival for a fun-filled day in Baltimore.
