Children’s Theatre of Annapolis (CTA), is hosting our first “Celebrate YOU Day!” event on June 15th to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Children’s Theatre of Annapolis (CTA), is hosting our first “Celebrate YOU Day!” event on June 15th to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness about the joys of diversity and provide helpful tools for families, youth, allies, and the community through various fun-filled activities and educational talks. As part of our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, our organization strives to ensure that LGBTQIA+ individuals are included and that safe and affirming environments are created for all children and families. We take our responsibility seriously in building a future where everyone can freely express themselves creatively.

"We are thrilled about Celebrate YOU Day!" says Jason Kimmell, CTA's Education Director, "CTA has always celebrated each individual for who they are, and this event allows everyone to celebrate with us."
Featuring local vendors + Kona Ice & Smash Up Burgers food trucks!
FREE COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES 10-11 a.m. Drag Story Time
11 a.m.-12 p.m. Family Fun Kite Decorating & Flying Face Painting Dance Party
12-2 p.m. Magnificent Makeovers Enhance your fierceness with make-up tips & tricks + learn to stomp the world’s runway with confidence.
12-2 p.m. Educational DEIA Talk Welcome to a DEIA talk about acceptance, communication, educational tools, community resources, and more. Members from GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network) will be in attendance.
2-3 p.m. Live Performances

4-6 p.m. DRAG BINGO!
Get ready to SLAY with this energetic Bingo extravaganza hosted by two sensational and fabulous drag performers, Mx Jazz What & The Vettick What! They’ll charm & entertain you with (family-friendly) performances and sass in between fast-paced Bingo rounds. Celebrate diversity and embrace inclusivity with CTA. It’s not just fun; it’s an opportunity to learn and grow together!
